The Competitors Window Tinting Inc of Palm Beach

I was referred to The Competitors by my mechanic. He often refers business to them because they are in the same industrial complex. I believe it may have been 2016 when I had my windows tinted. I was reticent to do so because I see so much bad tint on cars! However, they assured me I would have a lifetime warranty and guaranteed to replace my tint if there was ever an issue. The trouble began last year, when I noticed wavy lines on my windshield and driver's side window. Even though they remembered me, they tried to refuse to replace the tint on the driver's side window because I didn't have the certificate, which they said they had placed in the glove box, yet it somehow mysteriously disappeared. They also didn't want to replace the windshield tint because they said they don't warranty windshield tint because it's illegal. My mechanic had to intervene on my behalf and they replaced the driver's side window tint for no charge but I had to pay $120.00 for the replacement windshield tint. Also, for some reason, they wrote "RdR Driver" on the invoice, which does not seem like the correct abbreviation for LEFT Driver's Window. So, I don't know what that was about but it seems shady. They installed the replacement tint to the windshield and left driver's window on July 28, 2023. Less than a year later (today's date is 05/23/2024 and I just came from their office) I asked them to replace the front passenger window tint because it started peeling up from the bottom! Again, they gave me a hard time! Again, my mechanic intervened and they agreed to replace it but when I went in again, the technician treated me with disrespect and spoke to me in an abrasive tone right in front of the owner, who is a woman, and she did not correct him. He stated that since they would have to "eat it" (i.e., honor their actual "lifetime warranty") I would have no warranty on the replacement tint! I walked out because the technician was so unprofessional that I don't ever want to do business with this company again! I would rather find a reputable company that does quality work and actually guarantees their work by honoring their "LIFETIME" warranty!

This is the fourth vehicle they have tinted for me. Excellent quality film, outstanding service, and fair pricing. Highly recommend. They've been in business over twenty years.

Joan and her team were great. Needed to get my wives vehicle tinted for an upcoming trip and they got me in and out quickly. Results look better than factory and will be telling everyone to go here for all their tint needs
