Tint law allows medical exemptions for lower tint on all windows.
Window Tint Requirements By Vehicle Type
Sedans
Windshield:
Non-reflective tint can be applied on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Reflection: Must not be more reflective than a standard window.
Front Side Windows:
Aftermarket film needs to allow over 88% of light in, or minimum 70% VLT if combined with factory-tinted windows.
Reflection: Must not be more reflective than a standard window.
Back Side Windows:
Any level of darkness can be applied.
Reflection: Must not be more reflective than a standard window.
Rear Window:
Any level of darkness can be applied.
Reflection: Must not be more reflective than a standard window.
SUVs & Vans
Windshield:
Non-reflective tint can be applied on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Reflection: Must not be more reflective than a standard window.
Front Side Windows:

Additional Requirements
Side Mirrors
Dual side mirrors required if the rear window is tinted.
Restricted Colors
Tint laws do not permit using red, amber or blue tint colors. Side windows needs to be colorless.
Certification Requirements
Manufacturers of film needs to certify the film they sell the state and the driver required to have the certificate their possession.
Certification Stickers
State law does require a certificate or a sticker from the installing company and the manufacturer's name and address.
