I moved here in 2012 and once I got introduced to this shop, I have done all my business here. I keep reading bad reviews about bad service but I have never encountered that. Any issues I have had have been fixed by this facility "WINDOW TINT HAS LI...
I took my 2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum in for a Tesla Screen install. The owner was very nice. I really did enjoy our conversation. The installer told me that my unit did not work that I need to send it back. He said when he hooked it up the A/C didnt work, the volume only worked at 50% of what the factory did, and that the back up camera and steering wheel controls did not work. The owner told me while he was installing that they charge for labor when someone brings in a device not bought from him "even if they cant install" This was never discussed before the instillation. He tried to charge me $130 for labor. No, I refuse. You did not complete the job. I got home and decided to try and hook it up myself. The reason the A/C didn't work is because on the factory console there is an A/C component that has to be taken off and installed on the new unit. I did that and the A/C works just fine. He left the wires in the back of the unit when he gave it back to me. The installer did not wire it right. He didn't connect the back up camera wires together. That's why that didn't work. Any ways I was able to get the device installed and it is working fine. If I would have listened to that installer I would've sent back my Tesla Unit. Something told me he didn't wire it the right way. I'm glad I listened to my gut. I have done a lot of research on my car and how to install this unit. When my factory passenger airbag cable is removed from the original factory radio it makes my airbag light turn on. Once that light is on and the cable is removed you have to reset the computer in order for the light to go away. That light was never on in my car. It makes me wonder if he ever took my factory radio out to begin with. I dont feel bad for not paying him. Below is proof that my tesla unit works. I uploaded a pic of how the wiring is supposed to be. I hope this will help you guys in the future if you ever get a customer wanting t tesla install. If you look where it says reverse in the pic those wires have to be connected together in order for the camera to work.
Can’t recommend this place. Back windshield tint was in rough shape/bubbly/flaking off. Told me it would cost $85 to remove it over the phone (they didn’t ask what kind of shape it was in, which if that affects the price, why wouldn’t they)? Took 2 hours and was charged $130 plus tax and CC fee which was $150. To be clear, I don’t mind paying for what needs to be done but to not even let me know before you start working that it will be more difficult and will costs more and then let me decide if I want to proceed is very BAD BUSINESS! The guy wouldn’t change the price after some back and forth. Said he would let me talk to the guy who took the tint off about how difficult it was. I didn’t have time for all the back and forth so paid and left. Got in and the car smelled like cigarettes. Got home and noticed there’s black scratches on the rear driver-side door as well. Definitely won’t be back.
