My new camper needed some audio help in a big way and after a ton of research I decided to “convert” (it’s all 12V anyway) to a car stereo vs buying a replacement RV unit. I went in to the Macon location with intentions of buying some specific items ...
So I was just going to let the situation go, but! Before I do I must vent about my experience and to warn others. The company did good the first three years I been going to them. Communication has always been nonexistent, I’ve always had to call to ask when something was done. Due to being a customer for 3 years, I Decided to upgrade my whole stereo system for my 2016 ford fusion ( car is now totaled btw) not even 2 weeks into signing the financial agreement between Audio Zoo and Acima I had issues. Beware of installers who convince you to sign an agreement before installs are done and correct. For a week I had no air, heat, my door locks and passenger sides windows were affected and worst no music. The store manager at the time ( hmmm weird occurrence that Brock doesn’t work there anymore) basically told me in a unprofessional way, that the issues had nothing to do with the install , Audio Zoo had been conducting workon my car since 2021 before the install all of my functions of my car worked. Also I did my research and found that multiple ford fusion owners had the same issues until the electrical mount was configured correctly. Long story short I ask them, if they were confident with their trouble shooting abilities. Brock and John PROMISED to get me rolling again and with my music, both recommend a shop and disclosed that the damages would be payed for. I live in Perry, the shop is in Macon I took the car to the shop, the shop recommended me to leave the fusion for diagnostic, I got a Lyft to a friends house. As soon as I was dropped off I was called to pick up the car, the shop stating there was nothing they could do. I felt uncomfortable taking my car to another shop to be disappointed again. Long story short car was totaled I still own Acima 800 dollars. I have A double den player, a 500 dollar electric mount for a ford fusion which I don’t have anymore and a amp. Audio zoo stated to finance company Amica that they think it’s best if I go to another store. So much for loyalty, customer satisfaction, and just overall doing business correctly. I’m definitely done with this store….. really sad, money hungry and unprofessional! Do better communicating atleast! It’s not hard. Audio zoo never gave me any kind closure or apology. Worst part is I did my research about the double din upgrade for 2 years prior to me making the decision to upgrade, the day I did, I get told I have to get a 500 mount that would make the car totally electric and was never brought up before. Last warning take pictures of deals or pricing I was over charged for kenwood double din stereo. Now Acima wants all items back and I payed 700 owe 800. I literally feel like I was scammed smh. And had to buy a new car! I only owed for one more year. Like come on definitely frustrating.
We got our son a radio for his truck. Great prices and quality work installation! High recommended for stereo equipment!
